While bathing at. Noutli Meyne, Manly, this afternoon a schoolbov named David Paton, aj;cd 14, is believed to have been taken by a shark. Xobody witnessed the incident", but his companion, benjamin KediVrn, l-l, with whom Paton was bathing hcarrl what he described as :i swish and upon looking in the direction where he hist saw Paton discovered licit the latter had disappeared. The water afterwards became blood-stained, leaving little doubt about Paton 's fate. A beach inspector and several surfers immediately put out in a surf boat and searched for the missing lad without avail.
