Gold will start to flow back to Europe for the first time in 18 months when a shipment is made to-morrow to France. The export point has been reached and the dollar continued to break badly to-day in the world currency markets, reaching 5025 for the sterling and 669 5/8 for the franc. Inflationary fears here and abroad stimulated the pressure _ .against the dollar with the world watching the impending inflationist battle at Washington. It is expected that Europe may begin to repatriate its gold in large amounts, preferring the uncertain French and Dutch situations to the effect upon the dollar of inflation.
