Australia Builds Its Own Warship
NEW NAVAL SLOOP COMPLETES TRIALS (By Telegraph-Press Assn.-Copyright) Received Friday, 12.20 a.mu SYDNEY, Dec. 12. The new naval sloop named Varra, Unit at Cockatoo docks, Sydney, having completed its trials, was handed over to the Navy, Department to-day. Her armament consists of four-inch high-angle guns and anti-aircraft guns.
