B. GRADE COMPETITION.

WINS FOR WERAROA AND WESLEY.

The B. Grade Competition was continued yesterday aftem'oon, when only two matches were played, the games between St. Mary’s ian,d Ihakara being postponed by arrangements between the two clubs. The winners of the other two matches were Weraroa and Wesley, who beat Levin and St. Joseph’s by 9 gets to 7 in each case. Following are the results:

WESLEY DEFEAT ST. JOSEPH'S.

The game between the above clubs was played on the St. Joseph’s courts, when a close match resulted, Wesley eventually winning by 9 sets to 7. The St. Joseph’s ladies "were the hostesses. Following are the scores, St. Joseph’s players being mentioned first in each instance: — MEN IS SINGLES. G. Melville lost to K. Lemmon, 1-6; C. Melville lost to F. Baumber, 3 —6; L. The Levin and Weraroa teams met yesterday upon the former’s courts, when Weraroa secured a victory by the margin of 9 sets and 87 games to their opponents’ 7 sets, 73 games Tiie Levin ladies, as hostesses for the day, provided a dainty afternoon tea.
