! There was quite a good attendance ai members at the monthly meeting of ; the Levin W. 1., which was held rccent;ly in the Oddfellows' Hall. The President, Mrs C. E. Thorpe, extended a welcome to members and also to several visitors who were present. Apologiea for absence were received from Mesdames Brickland, Wenham, Nye, Barrel! and Miss Dunn. Mrs Bowler Watson, of Palmcistoa Ncrth, gave a most interesting lecture on "Colours and their values in decorative schemes" and at the conclusion thereof was accorded a vote of thanks by acclamation. During the evening Miss Cowan contributed a pleasing vocal solo, for which she was encored. Miss 0. Stallard, L.A.8,, capably acting as accompaniste. A "6d bring and buy parcels'' »proved to be most successful., . Mrs T. Treen, the delegate to the recent Council meeting at Bulls, was accorded a vote of thanks by acclamation for her very comprehensive reporton the meeting. A dainty supper was dispensed by the hostesses, Mesdames Gaudin, Hook, S. Mudgway and Suhan, and tlie singing of the National Anthem concluded a happily spent evening.
