JOHNSONVILLE SALE.

Messrs. Wright, Stephenson and Co., '■ Ltd., and Abraham and Williams, Ltd.. i report on Johnsonvillc sale held on ; Wednesday as follows: —To a large ati tendance of buyers we offered a largo yarding of all classes of cattle and an , average yarding of sheep. The bul- • locks yarded comprised chiefly prime > mediumweight cattle with a few pens . of heavyweights. Well finished bul- ; locks met with a keen demand with no . alteration in prices. Light and plain sorts were slightly easier. Extra prime ■ and prime mediumweight cows and heifers sold well at late rates, whilst, plain station cows and cows ex dairy were 5s easier. There was a keen demand for good quality runners and vcalcrs, light conditioned and small calves were 2s Gd to 5s easier. There were very few.prime heavy wethers penned, the yarding comprising chiefly of light and unfinished sorts. Prime sheep met with a good demand, unfinished and lightweight were hard to quit. The yarding of ewes was not up to the usual standard. A few pens of heavyweight sheep met with a good sae at late rates; unfinished sorts were not wanted and were hard to soil even at prices lower than those ruling last week. No prime hoggets were penned, the majority of the yarding being of very indifferent quality with the balance bordering on store lines. Although the quality was poor a good sale resulted.
