AMERICAN EDITOR'S FREAK DEATH (By Telegraph-Press Assn.-Copyright) CMATTAXOOGA, Tennes.see, July 10. Richard Karl Walker, aged 51, associate editor of the Chattanooga Times, the properly of the New York Times, sat at his editorial desk to-day and typed out his own brief obituary notice in regular journalistic style. He then killed himself with a revolver. He said he took this action because of illhealth. Hollywood Scenarist's Death LOS ANGELES, July 10. Ray Long, aged 57, magazine writer, publisher and motion picture scenario editor, died to-night of a gunshot wound in the mouth, which the police believe was self-inflicted. Long was found unconscious at his home with a small riflo at his side. He died at an emergency hospital following an operation.
