Takakua was unplaced in the Mount Alexander Handicap and Epigram unplaced in the Keilor Handicap. Time, 3.521. Philax gave a brilliant exhibition of Jumping, pace and stamina to beat the New Zealander. Still in the Spotlight Jockey Voitre remains in the spotlight. Riding Takakua in the Mount Alexander Handicap his mount struck the heels of another horse and went down. Voitre escaped with a sprained thumb. Though Takakua had led all the way to win at his previous start at Williamstown, Voitre pulled the gelding back to second last yesterday at Moonco Valley, and when making a forward move two furlongs from home, he galloped on Gallibrook.
