•ONE-TIME WIFE OF VANDERBILT (By Telegraph-Press Assn.-Copyright) Received Sunday, 7 p.m. LAS VEGAS (New Mexico), May 24. Mrs Emily Vanderbilt Thayer Whitfield, the divorced wife of William H. Vanderbilt, was found dead on her 'ranch with a bullet wound which the •police said was self-inflicted. She divorced Vanderbiit in 1928 and later married and divorced Sigourney Thayer, the theatrical producer.
