MILK SAMPLES.

GOOD AVERAGE QUALITY. During the* twelve months ending March 31st, 1935, the Borough Inspector (Mr W. J. Guinan) has taken the following samples of milk: —Horowhenua County 9, cream 1; Otaki 7; Shannon 5, Foxton 9, Levin 24 and cream 1.

The Inspector states: These samples have all complied with the regulations. (That the milk retailed in this district is of good average quality for fats and solids is shown by reference to the regulations which require fats to be 3.25 and solids 8.50 per cent. The average for the above 55 milk samples is 440 for fats and 8.90 for solids. This he considered t be very satisfactory.
