LORD BLEDISLOE'S REGRET AT LEAVING.
REGARDS SUCCESSOR WITH ENVY (By Telegraph—Press Association.) ,• WELLINGTON, Last Night. Further reference to his ' impending departure from the Dominion and to his regret at leaving Was made ‘ by Lord Bledisloe at the annual dinner of the New Zealand Company of Master Mariners on Saturday evening. ‘‘l am beginning to regard with envy my successor,'' declared his Excellency. “I honestly cannot imagine any more pleasurable task for any man in public life to desire than that of being Governor-General of this loyal Dominion.''
