UNEMPLOYMENT RELIEF.
REVIEW OF POLICY URGED (By Telegraph —Press Association.) ASHBURTON, Last Night. The Ashburton County Council resolved that the time was ripe for a review of the whole unemployment relief policy, with a view to placing men on their initiative to seek employment, of which much is available for suitable men on farms. It was decided to refer the matter to the Progress League with a recommendation that it take the matter in hand as far as Canterbury is* concerned.
