HOMING INSTINCT.
SHEEP SEEK OLD QUARTERS. The mystery of the disappearance of IGO sheep from Capertee (New South Wales), has been solved by the discovery that they had endeavoured to return to the paddock from which they had come at Dark Corner. They had travelled six miles, a creek, and were held up by fences in their endeavour to reach the old familiar surroundings. The sheep had been taken from Dark Corner to Bathurst, where they were bought by Mr Cox, who conveyed them to his holding at Capertee. Later they escaped apd made off through the biv>h in the direction of Dark Corner.
