Five Killed and Over a Dozen Injured
RACIAL RIOT IN INDIA. DISPUTE OVER OWNERSHIP OF LAND Received Friday, 7.30 p.m. CALCUTTA, Aug. 4. Armed police from two districts were summoned to quell fierce rioting between Moslems and Sikhs in a village near Jarnawala, in the Punjab, in which five 'wore killed and over a dozen seriously injured. The dispute arose over the ownership of a small plot of land. Each, community attempted to take possession by force, in which knives were used. ■
