SCHOOL READERS TO BE CHEAPER.
PART OF PRINTING TO BE DONE IN DOMINION. [Special to United Press Association, New Zealand.] (Received This D'ay, 9.25 a.m.) • LONDON, July 14 th. The Hon. R. Masters has completed a new contract with the London publishers of the Beacon Reader school books, effecting a reduction of an average of 30 per cent, in the present retail prices and protecting the sellers’ reasonable profit. One of the conditions is that books I. to IT. are to be printed in New' Zealand, while Books. V. and VI. will be partially printed there at present, with a view to complete production in the future. No alteration is to take place in the size, quality or binding of the books.
