Mr ‘Gandhi declared, at a meeting of -•Congress leaders, that he was prepared vto accept an honourable settlement .-with the Government, .but was not prepared to withdraw civil disobedience unconditionally, and would prefer the movement to continue even if only ■ one honest worker remained. Gandhi is now seeking an interview -with the Viceroy, but if unsuccessful .he is prepared to advise a continuance of the. movement on modified .lines.
