A CHICKEN RECIPE.
Boil a chicken in water with mixed ■vegetables for about one hour. Cut into pieces, dust each with flour, beaten egg and sieved white breadcrumbs, and fry in hot fat to cover until golden brown. Arrange on the dish for serving, garnish with corn croquettes, banana and bacon rolls, and serve with a good white sauce made from the cMcken stock. To prepare the corn, drain off the liquid from a i-pint tin and mix the corn with 2 tablesponfuls breadcrumbs, a dash of salt and pepper and the yolk of an egg. Shape into rounds, dust in flour and fry in hot dripping and ■batter ■until golden brown. Cut "bananas into three or four portions. Sprinkle with oil and a little chopped parsley or dip into beaten egg and white breadcrumbs, and fry in. fat to cover. The bacon Should be cut into small pieces, each piece rolled and fixed on & skewer, and all cooked under a rediot grill. ■
