In connection with the rich gold discovery at Deadman’s Point, Cromwell, it was reported to-day that a syndicate representing London,’ Australia and New Zealand capital, has secured an option over the claim, which is 67 acres in extent. A sum of £SO was paid for an option for one month, and if the option is then exercised Messrs Russell and party will receive £17,000 in cash and 3000 paid-up £1 shares. The option can he renewed at the end of the month for two further months, hy the payment of £IOO.
