There was a spurt in the potato market during the mid-week due principally to operators calling for Juno deliveries, but matters have quietened! 81 Quotations to-day for whites are £4 15/- f.0.b., si., but buyers are few at this figure. The equivalent on truck values is £3 10/- to £3 12/6. Dakatos appear to be very . scare as £5 15/- f.o.b;, si., is being* quoted and the mhrket is very firm. There, is very little disposition on the part of traders to deal in forward . deliveries. Reports of crops continue to bd variable, but generally yields are turning out lower than was expected. Tiho later crops which met with the worst effects of the drought are not affected. (
