Drunken Seaman Brandishes Automatic
SENSATION IN THEATRE AUCKLAND, May 20. A mild sensation was causeu m a Queen street cinema at about 11 o’clock last night, when a drunken seafaring man braiidished an automatic pistol. To-day the man concerned, Joseph, aged 21, admitted drunkenness and the possession of an unlawful weapon. The police said that he was very drunk and that there was no ammunition in the pistol. Accused saia that he did not remember where he obtained the pistol. The Magistrate fined him £2 5s and ordered the pistol to be forfeited. ■
