COLLISION WITH POLE.
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) GISBORNE, Saturday. While conveying workmen to a road contract job near Tolaga Bay yesterday, a lorry came into collision with a telephone pole, the upper part of which pierced the *eab, injuring seriously Oharlesi Parsons and also fracturing the leg of Jack McGill, who drove the truck. Several other men were thrown clear into a swamp, escaping injury. Parsons and McGill were taken to hospital.
