Are Titles Illegal in Canada?
OTTAWA, May 17. ' Titles are restored to Canada with the announcement in the House of Commons of Mr Bennett that the Government is not bound by the 1919 Parliamentary resolution of abolition. The occasion arose out of questions regarding the avyard of K.C.M.G. to Sir George Parley. Mr Lapointe declares that the Government is bound and titles are illegal. Mr W. F. Nickle, sponsor of tne abolition resolution, states that there is bo question that the Government i? bound. He is confident Parliament will vote, the same way again.
