Britain’s Distressed Areas
HEALTH MINISTER’S TOUR British Official Wireless Received Monday, 9.50 p.m. RUGBY, Sept. 4. The Minister of Health, Sir Hilton Young, has arranged to spend three weeks in certain distressed areas to inform himself by direct personal contact of the situation and the measures taken and in contemplation by local authorities for dealing with the unemployed. He will visit the Lancashire, Tyneside and South W r ales areas, in which unemployment has been severe and prolonged.
