New President for Mexico
END OF TURBULENT CRISIS Received Sunday, 9.50 p.m. MEXICO CITY, Sept. 3. President Rubio, head of the Mexican Government since 1930, sent his resignation to Congress to-day, bringing a turbulent political crisis to a head after three weeks of rumour and uncertainty. 111-health is understood to be the reason. General Abelardo L. Rodriguez is designated . by Congress to succeed President Rubio. He ■*~ill take the oath on Sunday.
