PERSONAL.
Following- upon a review by the Eailway, Board of the retirements arranged under the provisions of the Finance Act, 1931, Mr E. A. Simart, stationmaster at Woodville, and Mr Comrie, stationmaster at Paekakariki, have been requested to resume duty. Rev. J. D. McArthur, minister of the Cu'ba (Street Methodist Church, Palmerston North, was at the quarterly meetiaig last evening extended a unanimous invitation to remain for a fifth year. Mr McArthur, who has also received invitations from the principal cities of the Dominion and other circuits, acceded to the request of the office-bearers of the Church.
