The self-styled " country visitor," who on Monday told th.e police that he had (been robbed of £IOOO by two women, was not so simple as he pretended. A suburban bank teller's sudden disappearance led to police inquiries and detectives arrested him, posing as a visitor from the country in a secluded seaside camp. Later, Orlando Boyd Dedman was charged with stealing £3640 from the Petersham branch of the Bank of New South Wales. The police are informed that the man was ibetting heavily at Randwiek. Over £IOOO has been recovered.
