Unemployed and St. Helen's Hospitals

WELLINGTON, Last Night. In the House to-night, Mr. W. E. Parry asked for an assurance from the Minister of Health that in no case would women be denied admission to St. Helens hospitals on account of inability to find the means. He said there had been cases in which wives of relief Avorkers had been refused admission. Hon. J. A. Young said he would look into the eases to which Mr. Parry referred if he were given the details. There had been no change in the policy concerning these hospitals. All cases were treated on their merits and the services were extended to all those who could qualify for admission. Those who could not qualify were those who could afford to go elsewhere. The wives of relief workers should be eligible for admission.
