TAX ON LAND.
ONE PENNY PER UNIT PROPOSED IN BRITAIN. CBy Telegraph-Press Assn.-Copyright.) (Received This Day, 12.15 p.m.) LONDON, April 30. Mr Philip Snowden moved to permit the Finance Bill to embrace the taxation of land values though this would not operate till the subsequent year, and the motion was carried without division. Mr Snowden then gave notice of motion imposing for 1933-4 a tax of one penny in the pound on every unit of land pn Britain.
