Southern Cloud Was Airworthy
BUT WIRELESS SHOULD BE INSTALLED Received Wednesday, 11.20 p.m. SYDNEY, April 29. The report of the committee which inquired into the loss of the Southern Cloud, which was lost last month on the Sydney-Melbourne run, finds that no blame was attachable to any person connected with the Australian National Airways. The Southern Cloud was airworthy and properly eared for. All reasonable precautions were taken to ensure the safety of the passengers. The committee, however, recommends that wireless facilities be provided along the routes traversed by air liners engaged in regular commercial services.
