LAWS OF RUGBY FOOTBALL.

BRITISH CODE AGREED TO BY N.Z. UNION. IMPERIAL BOARD OF CONTROL ADVOCATED. 1 The N.Z. Eugby Union, at its annual meeting yesterday, unanimously agreed to abide by the laws and rules laid down by the English Union; and a definite step was taken toward the ultimate formation of an Imperial Board to control Rugby, on which all Eugby nations would be represented. Several speakers made it- clear that such variations in New Zealand as the replacement of players and teams leaving the field at half-time were purely local customs, and were not affected by the withdrawal of the general dispensations.
