CROQUET.
In the inter-dub matches at Palmerston North to-day, a team from the Levin Croquet Club will be engaged against one from the Shannon Club. The Levin representatives are Mesdames Dempsey, Walker, Hall, Bagrie, Nicholson and Pink. A match for the Nicholson Mallets was played on Monday evening, between Mesdames Nicholson and Dempsey (holders) of Levin and Mrs Bryant and Miss Herrick (challengers-, of Manakau, the result being a win for the latter pair by 26 points to 23. Both the Nicholson Mallets and the Broughton Mallets are now held by Mrs Bryant and Miss Herrick.
