IYA will this evening bo broadcasting a description of the Civic Reception to be accorded Lord and Lady Baden Powell. The third of the 2YA overseas programmes will be presented this evening. The talk on an international topic will bo given by Mr Chas. E. Wheeler. Much variety will be introduced into 3YA’s programme. Miss Addie Campbell (soprano), Mrs. N. Bingham Puddey (mezzo-contralto), Mr J. H. Williams (tenor) and Mr S. Armstrong (baritone) will be singing. Harp solos will be provided by Mr H. Glaysher, and clarinet solos by Mr E. Withers, while violin solos will be contributed by Miss Irene Morris, and various selections by the Christchurch Broadcasting Trio At 4YA, Mr L. M. Oachomaillo will sing songs by Russell and Schubert. Miss Evelyn Shepard (soprano) will sing an exceptionally fine song cycle by Watkins and Miss D. Allan (contralto) will sing “Golden Slumbers Kiss Your Eyes.” 4YA Studio Trio will provide all the instrumental music on the programme. \ Mr J. E. Davies (tenor) , will sing songs by Roger Quiltcr, Lehmann and Evans.
