HOROWHENUA HOCKEY ASSOCIATION.
A meeting of the Horowhenua Hockey Association was held in Otaki Present: Messrs H. Nieolson (presiding), K. Spiers, A. Adsett, Y. Morgan and B. Knox (secretary). Apologies were received from. Levin and Paraparaumu members. It was decided that car-owners who conveyed recent representative players to Wellington be paid for benzine used. It was pointed out that dues to the Association were still owing by Manakau and Levin, and it was decided to ask that these be paid. The Hutt Club, which is anxious to visit Otaki, is to be asked to submit a date for a match. A challenge from Victoria College was held over as the Association had too many fixtures in hand at present. It was decided to play Manawatu “A” and “B” at Otaki on a date to be arranged, and if possible arrange the “B” game for 2 p.m. A telegram was received from Wellington Association asking for a game on Wednesday at Wellington.—Decided to accept. Mr. Nieolson was appointed manager, failing his acceptance Mr. Knox to act. Mr, Spiers will accompany the team as referee. It was stated that six teams would play for the Green cup, and fixtures were drawn up as follows, the games to be played on Wednesday week, starting at 2.30 p.m. sharp:— Te Horo “B” v. Paraparaumu at Paraparaumu. —Messrs Spiers and pkyTe Horo “A”"v. Levin at Levin. — Messrs Adsett and Whitchousc. Otaki v. Manakau at Manakau. — Mr. V. Morgan. HOROWHENUA TEAM V. WELLINGTON. Goal: Fielding. f Full-backs: Butt (left) and Best (right). Halves: Hayward (left), Worsfold (centre), Palmer (right). Wing: Cook (left), Edwards (left inside), Morgan (centre), Windlcy (2) (right inside and right wing). Emergencies:—Back, Bull; forward, Baines.
