NO GIRL NEED BE PLAIN.
YOUR MIND. If you take stock of yourself in the mirror seriously and with a perfectly open mind, your decision ought to be one of two. You ought to decide that you really have got what can be described as a “nice” face and that you mean to keep it so; or, you can have a “nice” face if you take a little trouble. Always think you can be attractive; thinking beauty is the first practical step toward beauty. Tell yourself that you are charming—do it quietly, as if it were really nothing out of the ordinary in your own mind, and you are helping to make yourself beautiful. Your mind influences your face such a lot. If you are bored, or discontented you can never have a pair of sparkling eyes; your mouth won’t be pretty if you 1/et its corners turn down and the way to keep them up is to be cheerful, which will also make a great difference in the sparkle in your eyes.
