Rotorua’s Open Golf Championship
ROTORUA, Aug. 28. The open amateiu golf championship meeting opened this morning in line weather conditions. The entries are limited to eighty and twenty clubs are represented. The course is in splendid condition. The sixteen to qualify are: Rex George, 147;, Bransden, 148 • o’Callaghan, 149; Phimloy and Hocken, 152; Troutbeek and H. Lusk, 153; Parata and Buddie, 154; Bartleet, 155; M. Duncan, Dr. Howden, C. H. Howden, Monies and Wells, 156. Harrison, Rainger, S. E. Carr and M. Carr ‘with 157 tied for 16th place, and S. E. ’Carr won the draw.
