PERSONAL.
Mr Percy Fisher, vice-president of the English Amateur Athletic Association, died on Tuesday iu hospital at Montreal, from sleeping sickness (stares a Press cable received to-day.) He took ill when crossing the Atlantic toattend the Empire Games.
A party was held at Ohau on Monday night, for the occasion of Miss Edic Drake’s 21st birthday. A large number of friends assembled, and a happy time was spent. The table a double-decker, was prettily decorated with orange paper and was nicely laid out. Speeches were made, and games were played till a late hour, when “Auld Lang Syne” was sung to ; close a very enjoyable entertainment.
