Will Petrol Tax be Passed on?
PRIME MINISTER’S HINT,
WELLINGTON, Last Night
In reply to a question in the House to-day, the Prime Minister said the prices charged by the petrol companies were a matter for their own consideration. The companies had given no guarantee that there would be a reduction of a penny from the taxation.
The Prime Minister reminded the House, however, that full investigation was to be undertaken with respect to petrol Di’ices during the recess.
