Mrs Naldu one ofi Gandhi’s chief lieutenants, has been sentenced to nine months' simple imprisonment .and Gandhi’s son to one year’s rigorous imprisonment. The salt war at the Dharasatea mines for the time being is over. There are only about 80 * ‘volunteers’ ’ left in the camp. ■ Two big football matches in Cal- ‘ cutta to-day could not be played. ’ Thousands of people packed the grounds to witness the games Calcutta v.
