players will be extended a civic welcome in the council chambers at 3.30 p.m. In the evening, the Manawatu Olub will be thrown open to them and a, number of private functions have been arranged in their honour. On Tuesday morning the team will practice on the Showgrounds and in the afternoon golfers among the players will play a match on tihe Hokowhitu links. A motor drive round the district has also been arranged during the afternoon and in tihe evening there will be a round of social functions offering.

"On the morning before the match a visit has been arranged to the Awapuni racecourse where training operations, are in progress while after che game, an informal dinner for the players has been arranged. The team will depart by the }1 o'clock train for Master ton on Thurs.e day morning.
