A Chinese named Lee Wong, arrested on a warrant from Auckland, was charged with being a prohibited immigrant and was fined £lO and ordered to be deported within 30 days.
Counsel for the defendant said that the latter was in partnership with another Chinese, in a market garden and had an interest in cauliflowers worth between £3OOO and £4OOO.
