The story of “The Red Dance” deals with the disturbed conditions existing in Russia prior to the revolution. Tasia, a peasant girl, is sold to the gigantic Bolshevik leader, Ivan Petroff, for horse, but the very soul of the girl cr'es out against this outrage and her mind oecomcs obsessed with a spirit of revenge. How this spirit is played upon and how she becomes a pawn in the great revolutionary movement, mal es one of the greatest screen storied yet produced. Tasia’a great love for a Russian prince whom Petroff has set out to destroy eventually finds a responding chord in the rough nature of tlie great Bolshevik and his good nature demonstrates itself when he assists the lovers to escape. Dolores del Bio and Charles Farrell arc the featured players. •

The second feature presented the ■popular Esther Ralston in a new role, a'picture of circus life, and it is safe to say that “The Sawdust Paradise” is the best picture she has yet appeared in. Hobart Bosworth, who is the supporting star, returned to the Paramount studios after 11 years, to play the role of the evangelist. This programme will be repeated again this evening will no doubt draw another big house.
