LEVIN BOROUGH COUNCIL. OVERDUE RATES. 1 DUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that an additional charge oI Ten per cent, will be added to all rates remaining unpaid at the expiration of six months and fourteen days from the date of demand thereof. After that date, and without further notice, legal proceedings will be taken to recover all outstanding rates, together with the addition of the aforementioned penalty. H. L. JENKINS, Town Clerk.

KUKU DRAINAGE BOARD. NOTICE OF INTENTION TO MAKE AND LEVY GENERAL RATE. pUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that pursuant to and in exercise of the powers conferred on it by “The Land Drainage Act, 1908, ’’ and “The Rating Act, 1925,” and respective amendments and by all other powers in that behalf enabling it, the Kuku Drainage Board intends at a meeting of the Board to bo held at the Council Chambers, Levin, on the 18th day of December, 1929, to make and levy ai General Rate of One penny and twenty-five sixty-fourths of one penny (1 25/64d) in the pound for the period commencing on the Ist day of April, 1929, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1930, on a graduated scale on the rateable value (on the basis of the Capital value) of all the rateable property comprised in Class A of the Mangananau Subdivision of the Kuku Drainage District. And notice is hereby further given that such General Rate as aforesaid will become due and payable in one sum on the 21st day of January, 1930. The Valuation Roll is open for inspection at the offices of the Board, Council Chambers, Levin, during office hours. Dated at Levin this sth day of December, 1929. F. H. HUDSON, Clerk.
