The view that so-called spiritualistic manifestations, at present the centre of controversy, as tho outcome to Schneider’s seances, were in effect the workings of man’s subconscious mind was argued by Dr Bernard Hollander. "When a man is murdered and the culprit Is not found, why does not the victims's ghost appear and give information to mourning relatives. If there are spirits and there is. any love of humanity in the other world, their manifestations should not require the intervention of uneducated professional mediums, together with their commonplace interpretations.” Dr Hollander declared that there had not been a single message received which could throw any light on any great problems affecting humanity.
