LOST SON RETURNS AFTER MANY YEARS. ENLISTED UNDER ASSUMED NAME. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, This Day. To see his son, whom he had believed killed in the War, walk into his home after an absence of 18 years, was the amazing experience of John Tohill, of Surrey Street, last week. This son, Patrick, was last seen by his parents in 1911, in Canterbury. Upon the outbreak of the War his four brothers joined up, three being killed. Patrick was debarrod by his youih even two years after the war started, but under an asaumed name he managed to got away with a Canterbury unit. He was wounded in France, also suffer-j ing from gas and shell shock; and his' injuries were such as caused frequent lapses of memory. As a result ho wandered aimlessly around the world. As his parents wero not aware of his assumed name, all efforts to trace him were unavailing, and he Avas assumed to be dead.
