WingJ'onimaiider S, (Irani Dalton and (,'aptaiu At. BucKley, officer commanding Wigram, landed at, Ashburton after being forced to return from the South. They left Wigram at (i. 30 this morning iu a Alotli, with the intention of living to Dunedin, and ran intj heavy rain at Hampden, where they had difficulty in picking up the cliffs and landed in a paddock for half an hour, being by then wet through. 'I hey set oil; on tlie return and landed, -near Oamaru and came on to Ashburton, landing with almost, an empty tank. Capt. Buckley said they had not sullieieiit petrol to taxi, across the aerodrome. They left for Wigram early iu the afternoon.
