A draft of the Budget was considered by the State Cabinet. The Treasurer, Hon. Mr Stevens, hopes to forecast a reduction of taxation on incomes derived from personal exertion, and the repeal of:the super-tax on profits of companies. Another proposal is a reduction in ■salaries of members of Parliament.
