WEEK-END EXCURSION TO WANGANUI.
A whole day on the beautiful Wanganui river is a most enjoyable treat but quite beyond the reach of a large number of employers and employees unless facilities are afforded over a weekend. In this respect, the Itaiiway Department has risen to the occasion by providing a week-end train leaving Wellington at 12..33 p.m. on Saturday, 30th November,-and returning on tho next day. To bring the trip within reach of everyone the fare will bo at half ordinary* rate. may also reserve accommodation at Wanganui when purchasing their tickets. Both luncheon and afternoon tea will be served on the river steamers and, in addition to the stops made to view Maori villages and scenic points of beauty, ample time will be allowed bathing enthusiasts for swimming.
The river trip will cover just over 50 miles and occupies about eight hours on the Sunday.
A most enjoyable week-end is assured all those making the excursion. Tickets are obtainable now, also reserved seats.
