A centenarian, who was an old sailor and watorsider, Mr George Eyan, died to-day, states a Press message from Wellington. His ago was 103. Ho had had an adventurous life, and was shipwrecked many times. Miss Murphy, who camo from Taihape about a year ago to take up the position of supervisor at the Levin telephone exchange, is resigning from the Department’s service, in view of her approaching marriage. The many subscribers to the exchange will regret Miss Murphy's departure, as she has maintained a very eflieient standard; they will, however, wish her all happiness in her future sphere of life. Her duties at the local exchange will terminate on^afin|day^^cxE^^
