Received Sunday, 7 p.m. LONDON, Sept. 14. , Lord Melchett, in accepting ,tho chairmanship of the Council of Empire Producers organisation, issued a statement that the peace progress of not only the Empire but of the world, would depend largely on a sane, wellfounded Empire economic policy, free from the distorting effects of party controversy.
