EMPIRE’S CASUALTIES IN GREAT WAR
1,089,919 DEAD. Received Sunday, 7 p.m. ' LONDON, Sept. 15. The Daily Telegraph, in pointing out that the total of the Empirefs war casualties varies slightly as errors are detected, says the latest records show that 1,089,919, including 15,983 of the mercantile marine, lost their lives through enemy action.
